Soltys Brewster are pleased to announce the completion of Landscape and Ecology services in support of the redevelopment of two new middle schools in Porth and Tonypandy, for Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council. Working closely with Darnton B3, Mott MacDonald and the RCT client team, the Practice provided hard and soft landscape design services, including play and sports provision, to design an external environment to address the 21st C educational need for the campuses.
Multi-disciplinary Landscape and Visual Assessment, Landscape Design, Ecology and Arboricultural services in support of the PAC and Planning Application stage for a residential development on the edge of the Gower AONB, adjacent to Langland Bay and the Wales Coast Path. A bespoke scope of services was tailored to assess specific site issues and inform the scale and form of the development proposals for Edenstone Homes, to allow its sympathetic integration into the existing sensitive coastal context.
Expanding our range of specialist ecological services, the practice is now offering Aerial Ecological Survey, following training in rope climbing. Aerial tree inspections to investigate Potential Roost Features (PRF) for bats can be completed year round and can help to scope out or target any requirement for emergence surveys. Several clients have already taken advantage of this service, enabling them to progress a range of developments outside of the traditional activity survey season.
